A Fan Original Story by Yours Truly

I’ve fallen behind on posting here, I know. Please understand that it’s not been because of inactivity. Path of the Jedi is definitely still consistently releasing an episode every week and if you’re not caught up, got check it out because we just started our episode by episode discussion of Andor Season 2!

The other thing that I’ve really tried to put give more attention and effort towards is my Star Wars fanfiction: EXILES.

Star Wars: Exiles is a book I started working on back in 2019 but put down because I got busy with other things. But it was a project that I always excited about and wanted to see through to completion.

So, a few months back I decided to finally pick it up again and actually publish the chapters. Fast forward and I now have an account on Archive of Our Own (a site where fans can publish their works of fiction) and as of today have 3 “chapters” published (the prologue and chapters 1 and 2).

Here’s an excerpt from the prologue:

“Master, why? Why are we leaving?”

“I am not going with you, my child. You must make this journey alone.”

“What?! I can’t!”

Tears were streaming down my cheeks now.

“Yes you can! And you must. You must survive. One of us must survive!”

I did not understand. I could not. She had been the bedrock of my world since before memory. Calm and steady, teacher and protector. And now her only determination was to send me away.

“Why? Survive what?” I pleaded.

“He’s done it. The Chancellor has issued the order and now you must run. We are all in danger.”

Really fun stuff. My vision with this story is to bring the Star Wars Universe a little closer to home. All the way home as a matter of fact. I’d had always wanted to explore what Star Wars might look like if it landed here on present-day Earth.
